久々に映画らしい映画を観た、って感じです。
人種差別、人間模様、インスタントカーマ、いろいろ交差するなか、ゆったりストーリーが展開していく。
There is really something wrong with America! I can't recall ever seeing such an intelligent, moving, totally unbiased portrait of race relations. Every stereotype gets explored and then kicked to the curb.
Ok, I have never seen movie reviews where 95% of the public gave it "A"s, and the rest gave it "F"s. Not many "in betweeners". The ones rating it bad, are typically people who afraid of dealing with racial issues (the "politically correct- self righteous" type) especially with their own feelings and core beliefs.
This movie works because when you hear some of the racial epitaphs, it shocks you, but it is strangely close enough to what you hear(and think) everyday. Just when you think you have a character in this movie figured out, they show their inner racial values. Shows you exactly what is going on in the world.
"Crash" is the real deal.
